Professionals' Program
Addiction Treatment For Healthcare, Legal, and Other ProfessionalsAddiction is particularly destructive for skilled and licensed professionals. Due to the demands and expectations in their work, this is particularly true for executives, attorneys, physicians, dentists, pharmacists, airline pilots, therapists and other kinds of professionals. Our impaired professionals' program provides addiction treatment for healthcare, legal, and other professionals customized to the needs of each individual. Because of their training and education, professionals often develop similar coping styles and require specialized intervention and treatment methods. Our professionals' track addresses addiction as well as co-occurring mental health disorders as they relate to the challenges faced by this particular group. Pavillon works closely with professional advocacy and monitoring organizations and collaborates with them to ensure successful recovery for each patient. Evaluation & Treatment Approach:Pavillon's multi-disciplinary team of addiction specialists, physicians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and therapists conduct a detailed evaluation to determine the nature and extent of treatment and recovery needs. The clinical team evaluates the patient's physical, psychological and spiritual health. This includes a comprehensive review of occupational and psychosocial history, family and relationship issues, psychological testing, neuro-psychological screening and a complete medical exam. The referring organization receives a diagnostic summary, which includes treatment recommendations and appropriate referrals. Additionally, the clinical team creates a plan tailored to the needs of each individual. Our addiction treatment is appropriate for healthcare, legal, and other professionals and includes various components tailored to the specific needs of individuals in the impaired professionals' program:
Building Blocks for Success:The foundational elements of our professionals' program mirror our primary program. However, because professionals face additional challenges in recovery, the following methods and specialized tracks include:
Caduceus professional recovery groups Profession specific groups Mirror imaging Return to work assessment and preparation Relapse prevention addressing core issues Sober leisure education and wellness activities Safe or "fit to practice" issues Family workshops and Children's programs Medication management Group therapy and peer accountability Spirituality and mindfulness meditation Management of co-occurring disorders Continuum of Care:Pavillon treats addiction as a chronic disease and implements the best practices for ongoing, step-down care as part of our comprehensive impaired professionals' program. The clinical team refers patients and their families for outpatient addiction medicine, psychiatric and counseling services.
