The Women's Recovery Program at Pavillon

Women with an addiction to alcohol and other drugs may also have co-existing disorders that include depression, anxiety, trauma and/or bi-polar disease. Research indicates that for a high percentage of these women, if such disorders are not addressed or resolved, relapse occurs. Trauma is one of these disorders that can interfere with the ability to function, either following a significant event or the result of multiple events over time. It can occur as dysfunction in the family, serious illness, an accident or loss. Traumas affecting women include abuse, rape, violence and critical breaches in the trust of important relationships. The Women's Recovery Program helps women who are prone to relapse and/or suffer from these disorders. The women's home provides a safe atmosphere which is essential for this treatment to take place. Developing skills to resolve the long-term effects of trauma is essential to achieving sustained recovery . As is the case with our primary residential program, each woman has her own individual treatment plan consisting of all licensed, credentialed and full-time staff that includes:
