Relapse Prevention

"Did I relapse?" or "Did I just not 'get it' in the first place?" or "If I don't do something now I will certainly lose my sobriety."

At Pavillon, we understand that recovery from addiction is more than "white-knuckling" your way through not using one day at a time.

Addiction and other mental health conditions are chronic diseases which often manifest in relapsing patterns. Research demonstrates that a treatment model that views addiction as a chronic disease needing a full continuum of care is more effective than treatment that views addiction as an isolated event or series of symptoms.

People who are struggling with emotional and behavioral problems, life stress or other triggers and high-risk situations need not return to active chemical use before seeking effective treatment. We know that the addictive, compulsive and/or destructive behaviors which individuals experience may also be symptoms of deeper-seated emotional issues - symptoms of a disconnection from our spiritual center.

Our patients and clients learn to make a connection to their spirituality and they learn the power of applying the 12-Step principles in all their affairs. Patients can resolve underlying causes of emotional dysfunction and learn new skills in the safe and supportive environment of our program model.
