Referring Professionals

Information for Referring Physicians & Clinicians

Because addiction and related disorders are bio-psychosocial in nature and require a multidisciplinary treatment approach, our program considers individual needs based on age, gender, clinical diagnosis and substances used. We do not solely address just one aspect of addiction; our program promotes balance in all aspects of life. We actively engage patients toward mental, emotional, spiritual and physical healing.

We offer programs ranging from six weeks to over 90-days. Emphasis is placed on following individual addiction treatment plans and on implementing relapse prevention tools that patients gain while at Pavillon.

Additional Program Aspects:

Women's Trauma Recovery Program

Research indicates that for a high percentage of women in recovery, unresolved past trauma issues can lead to relapse.  In addition to providing all of the core services in our Extended Care Program, the women’s recovery track incorporates the following components:

  • Distress tolerance, symptom recognition and management
  • Techniques for regulating emotions and reducing vulnerability to negative emotions
  • Attachment, containment, communication and empowerment
  • A curriculum of coping skills for moving beyond trauma
  • Connections – a curriculum for identifying and reducing shame

Services for Families & Children

Since individual treatment and recovery outcomes are better when families and children participate, Pavillon believes in support and education for the entire family. The Family Program focuses on educating families about addiction and how it affects relationships. Participants learn how to take care of themselves, establish healthy boundaries and begin their own recovery.

The Children’s Program promotes healing and wellness for children affected by the addiction of a family member.  Participants are identified through area schools and social service organizations. Having a loved one in treatment is not a requirement for participation.

Spiritual Care

Each individual’s spiritual development is different. At Pavillon, patients learn how to develop an understanding and connection or re-connection to their spirituality, allowing them to make positive changes and move toward a fulfilling lifelong recovery.

Continuum of Care

Before patients depart Pavillon, the clinical team prepares an appropriate continuing care plan with the goal of connecting patients to appropriate levels of care, therapy and supportive living situations. This is particularly important to licensed health care and other professionals with whom Pavillon works. Where appropriate, Pavillon involves referring professionals in this process. Pavillon also maintains case management follow-up for one year following completion of treatment.

Our Professional Network:

An important aspect to our continuing care approach exists in our ability to effectively connect patients to addiction and mental health professionals who are available to assist our patients once they complete primary care at Pavillon. Our clinical team frequently updates referring professionals on patient status as well as involving them in the preparation of patient recovery plans and management of continuing care.

The Professional Network builds strong, mutually beneficial relationships in local communities across the country while improving recovery outcomes for patients and families. If you offer continuing care services or have a practice and are interested in being a resource, please contact Pavillon.
