Philosophy:
Pavillon's treatment philosophy is based on the belief that chemical dependency and related disorders are chronic, primary, progressive, and bio-psychosocial illnesses. Those who suffer from such diseases cannot be cured but can recover through abstinence from mood altering chemicals and emotional, behavioral, and environmental changes. Pavillon's treatment approach is rooted in science based, 12-step facilitation model of care and primarily focuses on healing through the provision of recovery education, group and individual therapies, and supportive peer group interactions. This model emphasizes the need for a therapeutic atmosphere conducive to change and professional guidance to achieve recovery goals. Recovery would be regarded as the logical conclusion of treatment. Recovery, however, is a process that involves a number of years and experience on the part of the recovering person. Treatment is the beginning of what must be viewed as a lifelong effort to maintain abstinence and continue personal growth. To this end, Pavillon provides an ongoing set of continuing care and alumni services as additional tools and support throughout a patient's early recovery process.
Pavillon awarded three-year CARF accreditation
April 5, 2005 - The leading international accreditation agency for behavioral
treatment facilities, CARF, announced that Pavillon has been accredited for
a period of three years for its Residential Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions
(Adults), and Residential Treatment: Integrated: AOD/MH (Adults) programs.
This is the first accreditation that this international commission has awarded
to Pavillon. Review is scheduled for 2008.

Service Satisfaction
An important aspect of accreditation has to do with monitoring the patient's
satisfaction with the treatment they receive at Pavillon. Hearing these views,
we continuously strive to improve the quality of services we provide.
Additionally, we ask family members attending Pavillon programs to give us
feedback regarding their personal experience and observations. Subsequently,
many of these suggestions are put into place.
