Medical Care and Detoxification — Upon admission, a patient's physical condition is assessed. If their physical condition warrants hospitalization, we will refer them to our partner, Pardee Hospital, for in-hospital detox needs. Otherwise, detoxification would be done at the Pavillon Center with the assistance of our 24-hour nursing staff and Medical Director. This would entail medical management of various detoxification and physical health problems preparing the patient to fully engage in our program.
Individual Treatment Planning — includes issues identified from the assessments and determines the various types of services, how long a person should be in treatment and whether extended services or additional specialized services are required. The treatment plan is updated weekly with input from the patient and the multidisciplinary team. Treatment planning includes a long range look at the necessary recovery supports which an individual needs following treatment.
Therapeutic Activities — include individual and group counseling, ongoing random drug and alcohol testing, psycho-educational lectures, physical wellness, spiritual care activities, 12-step meetings, relapse prevention and equine-assisted therapy.

More intensive work is available for people who have the need to tackle deeper, more persistent emotional problems often associated with early life traumas, a life led under the strain of addiction or other emotional problems. Our clinical staff will help the patient determine if they are mentally and emotionally ready to begin this level of work. It can be done as part of their initial treatment after a period of sobriety. It is especially helpful for those with life issues threatening recovery as well as those people who have had multiple relapses. The issues dealt with include a more in-depth look at addiction, codependency, trauma and issues in the family of origin. It is an experientially based, psychotherapeutic process which allows for strong bonding among patients where these sensitive issues can be explored and resolved.
Continuing Care — services designed to assure the "chronic" nature of addiction and related disorders are managed effectively within a continuum of care. The Continuing Care Department provides aftercare planning, aftercare therapy groups for local patients, an extensive network of referrals to create seamless transition to other levels of care and telephonic case management. Additionally, there are various levels of alumni support structures available to our patients as they transition from the safety of the residential environment back into their daily lives.
Family Program — is a four-day, psycho-educational process designed to help teach family and other loved ones about the disease of addiction and its effect on the family and significant relationships. The Family Program provides support, information, education, counseling and recovery planning for family and significant others of our patients.
