Anne Vance, CEO
Ms.Vance's
career in the treatment field spans three decades and includes
extensive leadership roles
with the
Betty
Ford
Center and Crossroads
Centre in
Antigua. She has been CEO with Pavillon since 2003 and
is a Fellow of the
American
College of Health Care Executives and an advanced
member of the
College
of
Addiction Treatment Executives. She has authored numerous white papers
and articles and appeared on numerous national and international
television and radio programs as a strong advocate for access to care,
affordable care and eliminating the cultural stigmas associated with
addiction. Ms. Vance has a strong passion for substance abuse prevention programs among youth. She was instrumental in bringing the Children's Program to Pavillon
Steve Millette
Steve Millette
is responsible for the management of all clinical and program services, which
include creating process improvement and operational plans, designing,
monitoring and implementing benchmarks for all clinical services. He also supervises staff
development and education with a focus
on evidence-based practices. He has over 20 years experience in the roles of
clinician, trainer, supervisor and administrator in the field of chemical
dependency and mental health. He has a master's in Counseling Psychology and joined
Pavillon in 2004
Susan Holman, MD
Dr. Holman is responsible for the medical care of all Pavillon
patients, including oversight of the medical detoxification. Having joined Pavillon in 2004, Dr. Holman provides patient
education on the medical aspects of addictions, brain chemistry and medication
management. She is further involved in and oversees the Professionals’ Program.
She received her doctor of medicine at
Emory
University.
She is board certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine. She is a member of the North
Carolina Society of Addiction Medicine. She has served on the faculty of the
Department of Internal Medicine for
Carolinas
Medical
Center
and as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at
the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She has also served on the board of directors
for the North Carolina Physicians’ Health Program.
John Roberts, MD
Dr. Roberts serves full time as Pavillon’s Addiction Psychiatrist where he assists in diagnosing and treating co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders in residential and outpatient settings. He came to Pavillon with nearly 20 years of experience serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. While there, he was the attending psychiatrist for the inpatient dual diagnosis inpatient unit and was the director of the clinical outpatient division for the Center for Drugs and Alcohol Program. He received his doctor of medicine from
LouisianaStateUniversity and completed his psychiatric residency as well as fellowships in substance abuse and anxiety disorders at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr.Roberts is board certified in psychiatry and has lectured through out the Southeast on substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.
Cathy Jaggars
Ms. Jaggars has worked in the addictions field for
over 25 years. Her educational
background includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the
College of
Charleston,
Charleston,
SC;
a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from
Pepperdine University,
Malibu,
CA; and a Master’s degree in Counseling and
Personnel Services from the
University Maryland in
College Park. She is credentialed through the
state of
South Carolina
as a Certified Clinical Supervisor, and nationally as a Master
Addiction Counselor. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the
U.S. Marine Corps, and has worked in addiction treatment both in
military and
civilian settings.
