An Additional Level of Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment
The extended care program at Pavillon helps identify in-depth barriers to on-going recovery and relapse prevention. Factors that are assessed and included in treatment during extended care include personality traits, family system supports, recovery and relapse history, and relationship issues. As a result, the extended care program is able to provide enhanced and detailed relapse prevention therapy, core issue work, and couples therapy that is relevant to early recovery. Co-occurring psychiatric conditions, a history of trauma, and mid/later life changes are addressed based on each person's needs. For many, their professional work history may complicate or assist their early recovery, and the extended care program helps each person navigate these important issues.
With regard to treatment for executives, health care professionals and legal professionals, their continued employment or license often depends upon their sustained recovery. Our Extended Care Program provides an added layer of rehabilitative treatment, as it focuses on imparting critical relapse prevention tools. Pavillon works closely with professional advocacy and monitoring organizations that manage the licensing of healthcare, legal and other professionals.
The Extended Care Program, including our Women's Recovery Program, is appropriate for individuals who have completed primary residential treatment programs through Pavillon or another treatment center.
The program is abstinence based, gender responsive and built on the 12-Step foundation. Treatment includes extensive relapse prevention therapy and a strong focus on family and other relationships.Issues related to stigma, finding a connection to recovering professional peers, accountability, managing high-risk social situations and preparing for a return to work, are all incorporated into individual treatment.
